Opoku Mensah is an indigenous award winning Ghanaian musician. He has made Ghana proud on the international front by winning several prestigious awards including, Best African Music composer, best pianist in Africa (Eurasia records in Dubai and Benin) 2015.
He has played more concerts on the local scene, including +233 jazz bar, Republic, Alliance Francaise and was part of live in Accra Jazz festival. Opoku Mensah and his Nananom band represented Ghana, with roaring and congratulatory sounds from their CD ‘Spirit of Africa’ (launched in 2014) as they performed at the last Africa Rhythms festival of music held in Forever Parkin Lome, Togo.
The artist has the potential talent and aspirations that could earn him a place among Ghana’s great ones like Ebo Taylor, Osibisa, ET Mensah, A. B Crenstil, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, CK Mann among others.
He has played at the World Expo in South Korea in 2012 and Astana, Russia in 2017. Also performed at Music Festivals in Dubai, Egypt, Senegal, Mauritania and Benin.
